Gabriela has experience interning at and working for large for-profit corporations and nationally recognized non-profits. She has also worked for the Colorado House of Representatives and private law firms. Gabriela is licensed to practice law in Colorado, and Virginia (resigned).  After reflecting on her previous employment and volunteer experiences, she turned her mission to advocate for the most vulnerable members of our society into a reality by launching her law practice in October 2007.

No stranger to pro bono work, Gabriela has volunteered on a regular basis with local organizations including Project Safeguard and has also served on the Board of Directors of local non-profit, Rocky Mountain Animal Defense. She served as co-chair of Denver CASA’s Inclusiveness Committee and is a former member of Denver CASA’s Board of Directors.  In September 2013, Gabriela was unanimously elected to serve on the Colorado Voters For Animals Board of Directors.  She has also served as a volunteer mediator with Jefferson County Mediation Services.
